Beware! Virus McDonald on Facebook

Virus McDonald Facebook Today Facebook users in Indonesia uproared invitation containing a link located at bit.ly to watch the excited video about McDonald. Many kinds of titles, two of them are "The Truth Behind McDonald" and "Shocking McDonald Video". But instead of to the video, your Facebook account actually deploying the same invitation to friends and littering inbox.

Be careful because this is all just a fun trick from someone to take advantages of your Facebook account. This is a new virus in Facebook to steal personal data of users. If the perpetrators wicked, then it is not impossible your account may be used for a variety of fraud through Facebook.

If traced, Graham Cluley from Sophos Internet and Computer Security firm have warned that the spread of this virus has been going since August 2010. According to him, spreader of the virus is always changing the titles, but all were related to McD. Even so, the title could have been replaced with anything interesting title. Facebook had been contacted to prevent its spread. But apparently the virus can still be leaked to the users of Indonesia.

How did the perpetrator steals your Facebook data?

Here's how it works. The invitation includes a link to a website with the lure of video containing odd information about McDonald. Once the link is clicked, it will display Facebook application with the name "Worst McD's Customer". To be able to open the video, the page requesting your permission to access your identity, posting on the wall, access data anytime, access to contact information, and even set up a page on Facebook.

If you click on the Allow option, you won't get the video expected. The application even automatically send the same invitation to all of your friends. Imagine that if all allowed by users are used by the perpetrator, your Facebook page will be disordered.

So, if you get an invitation with the title related to McD or kind of that, just ignore it. If in doubt, check any information that they want to access. If you think it's so excessive, then just leave the link. Do not mortgage your desire to see a video of strange at the expense of all access to your Facebook account to other people.

Well, then what if you are already exposed to these traps?

Take it easy, there are still ways to treat it. According to Cluley, delete all references that point to the link, both in status and application settings. Please make sure no part of you that lead up to the link.

Hope this help for you :)
